GRASSHOPPER – A tiny black and white long haired young lady, born badly deformed, with no claws on her front paws and no back feet, as a result of inbreeding. She has blossomed into a beautiful young lady; she will stand no nonsense when she referees the occasional squabble between the residents.

PARSLEY – A white and tabby female cat found as a feral kitten on an allotment. Unable to be tamed for homing, Parsley has joined the rest of the feral cats (after she was neutered and ear tipped) at the Shelter who live happily, without human interference, in the garden with their own living quarters.

NOBBY – A young ginger tomcat found by a railway line. His back legs are crippled but no reason could be found for this during his three week stay at the Vets. His legs have improved a little and when he walks he looks as though he is wearing tight trousers. All the other cats, both tame and feral love Nobby and he loves them in return.

NANCY – Is the result of interbreeding and was the star on the ‘Jonathan Ross’ T V programme, as the ugliest cat in Britain, she has also been featured in the national papers, also appeared in the Swedish and German papers for the same reason. Nancy is at her happiest when she is sharpening her claws on Maggie’s backside, when Maggie is down on her knees washing the floor

Henry – Came to us as a sickly kitten, so sick we didn't think he would survive, now he has grown into a strapping big lad, but he gets beaten up regularly by Lucinda.
